Participants of the international conference visited the “Surakhany” ship museum.
Participants of the conference “Resources and Culture: From Archaeology to New Technologies,” organized by the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts and the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, visited the “Surakhany” ship museum, managed by ASCO.
The guests, who thoroughly explored the exhibition halls, were provided with detailed information about the modern technologies implemented in the ship museum, including augmented and virtual reality systems, interactive equipment, manipulators, and simulators.
Additionally, the conference participants were informed that the museum regularly hosts various exhibitions and projects, extensively utilizing the capabilities of modern technologies.
During the visit, discussions were held with directors and technical staff of museums from different countries on cooperation with the “Surakhany” ship museum. During the discussions, the importance of creating a unified intranet-style digital collaboration platform in the future was emphasized. It was noted that this platform would contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience in applying new technologies.
In conclusion, the guests wrote positive impressions in the ship museum’s guestbook. They were also presented with publications related to the museum, including the “Guidebook” and “Mariner’s Alphabet.”
