To mark the fourth anniversary of welcoming its first visitors, the 'Surakhani' Ship-Museum has opened a new Art Gallery.

To mark the fourth anniversary of welcoming its first visitors, the “Surakhani” Ship-Museum has inaugurated a new Art Gallery.

The gallery features over 20 artworks dedicated to maritime and seafaring themes, created by both local and international artists. The collection includes works produced as part of various museum initiatives, including the “Cultural Bridge” project.

Among those who contributed to the creation of the gallery, special recognition goes to Vusal Mammadov, a letter restoration painter at the “Zigh” Ship Repair and Construction Yard, for his outstanding role.

It should be noted that the official opening of the ship-museum took place on March 1, 2021, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva. The museum welcomed its first visitors on May 10 of the same year.
