The “ICOM 2025” International Conference, held in Dubai, UAE, has brought together leading professionals of the museum sector. The event is one of the largest global platforms for discussing major trends and emerging challenges within the museum community.

The theme of this year’s conference is “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities.”

The Azerbaijani delegation is also participating in the conference. The “Surakhani” ship-museum is represented at the event by the institution’s director, Tural Ibrahimov.

The museum’s project “Caspian Heritage” has been included in the long list for ICOM’s “Sustainable Development Practices in Museums” Award. Among 124 countries, it is the only project representing Azerbaijan.
