Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko Visits ASCO’s Surakhani Ship Museum

Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Yuriy Husyev, and other officials visited the Surakhani Ship Museum of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO).

During their visit to the world’s first tanker museum, the guests were introduced to the museum’s exhibitions, as well as its modern multimedia and audiovisual systems. As part of the tour, conducted in Ukrainian, the visitors received detailed information about Azerbaijan’s rich maritime traditions and the history and activities of ASCO, the oldest shipping company operating in the Caspian basin.

Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko left a message in the Surakhani Ship Museum’s Book of Honorary Guests, expressing his satisfaction with the tour and highly appreciating the work carried out to preserve, pass on to future generations, and promote Azerbaijan’s rich maritime heritage.
