On the occasion of International Children’s Day, a visit to ASCO’s “Surakhani” ship-museum — the world’s first tanker museum — was organized for a group of martyrs’ children from the Quba, Khachmaz, Davachi, and Shabran regions.
The excursion took place within the framework of a Baku trip held under the motto “I am a child of a hero”, jointly organized by the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations and the “For the Motherland” Public Union in Support of Martyrs' Families.
At the museum, guides provided the children with detailed information about the exhibition halls of the tanker-museum and showcased valuable maritime artifacts. The visitors also took part in various interactive games related to seafaring and gained deeper insight into the maritime profession.
A festive meal and special entertainment program were arranged for the children aboard the ship-museum.
At the end of the visit, the children — proud offspring of a victorious nation’s heroes — released doves into the sky from the deck, wishing for a peaceful, prosperous, and happy future for all children around the world.
The visit concluded with the presentation of holiday gifts.
